Description
Our hop-on hop-off bus tour takes you to all of Edinburgh’s most important sights. With your 24hr-ticket, you’ll have plenty of time to explore. From the city’s beautiful old centre to the fascinating treasures of the National Museum of Scotland, from Holyrood to Dynamic Earth, there really is so much to see and do.
Our Loch Ness and the Highlands Tour is a full-day experience that you’ll never forget. First, we into the Highlands passing some of Scotland’s best-loved historical sites, such as Stirling Castle and the National Wallace Monument. We also travel through the stunning Trossachs National Park, where you can admire the majestic Scottish countryside on our first stop in the picturesque town of Callander.
Past Callander, the scenery continues to be breath-taking. Sit back and take it all in as your guide tells you stories about the people who have lived on these lands, from the Picts to the Highlanders. And, don’t worry, there’ll be photo stops along the way so you can capture those memories.
We arrive in Fort Augustus, a small village at the edge of Loch Ness, in time for lunch, sat by the **Caledonian Canal **and its series of locks, looking out over the famous Loch Ness. Once your belly is full, you’ll have time for a wander or you can take a cruise on the loch itself (ticket not included). Maybe, you’ll get to see Nessie herself!
The journey home takes us through the Cairngorms, and Pitlochry, a village that became a tourist destination after it was visited by Queen Victoria in the 19th-century. You’ll arrive back in Edinburgh in time for dinner and, we imagine, tired and content after an amazing day.
