    Description

Undoubtedly one of the most picturesque cities in the world, Oslo has a spectacular backdrop of rugged mountains and sits nestled on the Oslofjord, which stretches out into the North Sea. What better way could there be to appreciate Norwegian beauty to the full than from the top deck of our open-top bus? Make sure you have your camera ready, as you’ll want to take plenty of pictures as you admire the stunning views.

But don’t get distracted by the beauty and forget to hop off! One of the best things about travelling on our City Sightseeing buses is that you can hop off at any stop you like and spend as long as you want at each attraction. Travel at your own own pace and choose where you want to go.

So, where should you hop off? The Royal Palace is an absolute must. Built in the first half of the 19th century as the Norwegian residence of Norwegian and Swedish king Charles III, it is now the official residence of the present Norwegian monarch. Don’t miss the changing of the guard and the surrounding parkland, open to all.

Hop back on and head towards Akershus Slott (Akershus Castle) to learn the fascinating history of this fortified fort, enjoy incredible views from the top of the fortress and wander through the beautiful grounds.

Where to next? Hop back on and make your way to Vigeland Sculpture Park. This peaceful outdoor museum offers a collection of over 200 sculptures. And if you’re an opera lover, the Oslo Opera House offers open-air concerts. Daredevils can climb its sloping rooftop for fantastic views of the city!

There are just so many amazing places to hop off in Oslo! Remember to tune into our interesting audio guide as you ride to get the lowdown on Oslo’s top sights. Did you know who Norway’s most famous artist is? Edvard Munch, creator of the acclaimed work The Scream, of course! The Munch Museum is dedicated to his life and works and is an essential art stop in the city.

There’s so much to see and do in Oslo. What are you waiting for? Book your City Sightseeing ticket online today and explore the best of Norway’s exciting capital!
