Description
Saigon is an amazing mix of cultures. Founded over fifteen centuries ago, it didn’t become an important city until the arrival of Vietnamese settlers from the north in the 17th century. Colonisation by the French 200 years later saw a European influence that lasted some hundred years. Independence came via two long and bloody wars that also left their mark.
With your Hop-On Hop-Off Bus Ticket, you’ll be able to discover every stunning facet of Saigon. And you can choose between our Saigon City Tour (Red Line) and our Chinatown Tour (Blue Line). Hop on the bus at any of our stops and then decide where to hop off first.
Saigon City Tour (Red Route)
- Museum of Vietnamese History: this fascinating museum tells the story of Vietnam and its people from prehistory until the modern day. It’s a fascinating place to spend an hour or two.
- Skydeck: in the heart of the city’s modern financial district. 49 floors above the city, this is the perfect vantage point to see Saigon and appreciate its remarkable mix of the old and the new.
- Nha Rong Wharf: another great hop-off choice. Located on the banks of the Saigon River, the pier gives you an insight into another side of the city. Like so many other cities, Saigon owes its existence to the river, and it’s still an important and colourful part of local life today.
- Ho Chi Minh Museum: dedicated to the life of the Vietnamese leader who gave the city its other name.
Blue Route
It’s really easy to switch to our Blue Route to explore even further in Saigon. We’ll take you through bustling markets, serene pagodas, and lively neighbourhoods. And of course, you’ll be able to hop off at any stop you like! Here are just some of the things you’ll see from our top deck: - Ho Thi Ky Flower Market: a riot of colours awaits you at this fabulous flower market, overflowing with a dazzling array of tropical blooms.
- Binh Thay Market: experience local life and delve into the heart of Saigon's culinary scene.
- Thien Hau Pagoda: this beautiful Chinese temple, dedicated to the Goddess of the Sea, offers a peaceful respite from the city's hustle and bustle.
- Van Phat Pagoda: discover this tranquil Buddhist temple, known for its intricate architecture and peaceful atmosphere.
That’s all just a start. There’s so much more to discover, so decide whether you want a 1 or 2-day ticket and start exploring. Whichever ticket you choose, you’re sure to wish you had more time.
