    Description

Have a whale of a day on this fantastic tour from Reykjavik. In the morning, you’ll meet up with your guide and group to board your boat and set out to sea in search of whales. You shouldn’t have to go too far, probably no more than 15 nautical miles, before you get to see whales in their natural habitat. The most commonly spotted species are humpback whales, which can be up to 16 metres long, and minke whales, which can be up to a more modest 8 metres in length. Which is still pretty big! There’s also a good chance that you’ll see dolphins and porpoises at play.

The whole trip will be made in the company of an expert guide who will be able to tell you all about the incredible species that you see from the comfort of the boat, including the various seabirds that you’ll see on the waters of Faxaflói, the bay that Reykjavik sits on. You’ll also be provided with special float suits to keep you warm and safe on board, but it’s still a good idea to wrap up warm. It is Iceland, after all! There’s an onboard café where you can buy something hot to drink or a light snack.
