Oslo sits on the shore of the aptly named Oslofjord. This beautiful fjord is more than 100km long! And it is much a part of the life of the city as the city itself.
Our cruise will take you out on the waters of the fjord for an hour of supreme relaxation and enjoyment. The views from the decks are stupendous. Sit on the sun deck and feel the warmth of the day on your skin as you look out over Oslo. Maybe, while enjoying a snack or drink from the onboard bar!
One thing we’re really pleased about is that our boat, the M/S Nobel, runs on biofuels, which means a 90% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions.

One place that we always enjoy is the Fram Museum. Dedicated to the history of Norwegian polar exploration, it’s a great example of what a modern museum can be. It’s named after the Fram, the first ship used by Norwegian explorers to explore the Arctic and Antarctic. The museum tells the story of these intrepid explorers and their amazing adventures.
The Fram Museum is located in an area rich with culture. The Kon-Tiki Museum, the Norwegian Museum of Cultural History, the Viking Ship Museum and the Norwegian Maritime Museum are all really close by. The area is also home to Bygdøy Royal Estate, the official summer residence of the King of Norway, and Oscarhall, one of the city’s more unusual buildings! Hop on the bus to travel from one museum to the next and learn about the area from our fascinating audio guide.
Visit even half of those, and you’re going to be tired, so the easiest way to visit another part of the city is to hop back on the bus! Wondering where to hop off next? Why not pay a visit to the Royal Palace? This stunning building has been the main home of the Norwegian Royal family for nearly two centuries.

Before you go
** Hop-On Hop-Off Oslo**
- You can hop on and off the bus at any stop.
- Buses run in all weather, so dress accordingly.
- Buses normally run between 10:00 and 16:00, however schedule changes may occur depending on major cruise docking/departure times.
- You will need to exchange your voucher for your hop-on hop-off ticket with the City Sightseeing staff or bus driver before or upon boarding the bus. Keep the ticket with you at all times.
- Please make sure you only board our official branded City Sightseeing buses.
- Choose between two audio guide options: In-Seat Modules and Bring Your Own Device (BYOD). Borrowable headsets with adapters are available on board. Don’t forget to bring your headset for your own device if you want to use the BYOD audio guide option.
- BYOD languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Dutch, Japanese, Chinese, Italian
- For guests requiring assistance, we offer storage for collapsible wheelchairs.
- The following events in Oslo during 2026 may lead to increased traffic and potential delays: Oslo International Church Music Festival from 13–22 March, Oslo Brass Festival on 24–25 April, Sentrumsløpet (a major running event with city centre road closures) on 25 April, Labour Day parades and demonstrations on 1 May, Norwegian Constitution Day (major parades through the city) on 17 May, Oslo Pride from 19–27 June, Øyafestivalen in mid-August, the BMW Oslo Marathon (with major street closures) on 12 September, and ongoing possible major roadworks or infrastructure works in Oslo city centre and ring roads throughout 2026.
