- Please bring a photo ID when picking up tickets.
- Service dogs are allowed. Pets or companion animals are not allowed.
Ferry to Alcatraz Island and Prison
- Alcatraz Visit duration: 2-3 hours
- Photo ID of those who purchased tickets is required to board the ferry.
- Bags larger than a standard backpack, 16" x 20", are not allowed on Alcatraz Island.
- Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear - Alcatraz Island is rugged and steep and there is a walk of about 0.25 mile / 0.4km between the dock and Alcatraz prison.
- Please note that a government-issued photo ID is required for every person 18 years and older who books tickets to Alcatraz island.
