Hop-On Hop-Off
Are you ready to see Portugal’s achingly cool capital, Lisbon, from a different perspective? Just hop on one of our buses and join our Blue, Green or Red Route. You can switch between them as you please, and our comfortable open-top buses all start at the Marques de Pombal.
Blue Route
If you’re traveling with little ones, the family-friendly Blue Route is for you. Hop off at the Jardim Zoologico to see lions and tigers and bears (oh my!). This is one of Europe’s oldest zoos, dating back to 1884. Hop back on to visit another of Lisbon’s top tourist attractions, the outstanding Oceanário. You may have been to aquariums before, but this one is something special. Europe’s biggest indoor aquarium has a colossal tank that is an aquatic abode for over 100 species, including the rare and highly prized sunfish. From penguins to otters and sharks to rays, the diversity of wildlife here is astounding.
Red Route
From under-the-sea to sea views, feel the cool ocean breeze on your face as you sit on the top deck on our classic Red Route. Admire spectacular views along this coastal road, and then hop off right next to Lisbon’s two most impressive sights: the remarkable Mosteiro dos Jerónimos and the iconic Torre de Belém. The former, an immense monastery, is an architectural masterpiece. Wander through its intricately carved cloisters and learn about the monks that once called this wonder home. The Torre de Belém also has fascinating carvings, notably the earliest depiction of a rhinoceros in Europe. You’ll also admire the building’s North African-inspired turrets and the spectacular views of the River Tagus.
Green Route
Hop on our green route for a lift up the hill to dramatic Sao Jorge castle, which dates back more than a thousand years. Twice destroyed by earthquakes, it was fully restored to its former glory in the 20th century. Another lofty highlight of the city is the lively Bairro Alto (the upper district). Hop off here and explore this picturesque maze of colorful streets and lanes. And don't miss the magnificent panoramic views over the city from the Miradouro da Graça. It’s the perfect place to stop for a coffee or a glass of vinho verde and take in the faded majesty of this amazing city.
Walking Tours
Included in your ticket, you’ll be able to join two guided walking tours around the city, one in the morning and one in the late afternoon. Just hop off at one of the stops mentioned below, and our expert guide will take you around the old town, regaling you with fascinating facts and titillating titbits about Lisbon’s past and present.
Night Tour
Lisbon comes alive after dark. That’s why we’ve included a free night tour around the city on our bus. Hop on at stop 1 on our red route and take a ride around the old town to experience Lisbon after sundown.
