Leave Scotland’s capital behind and explore tranquil lochs, beautiful highland villages and historic castles on this full-day tour from Edinburgh. You’ll pass through Scotland’s largest city, Glasgow, where you’ll have views of the city’s monuments before crossing the River Clyde and heading north through the spectacular Trossachs National Park to Loch Lomond. Here you have the option to enjoy a one-hour boat cruise on Scotland’s largest loch, or take some time to explore the scenic village of Balloch.
Next is the highland town of Aberfoyle where you’ll learn about the legends of the fairies that inhabit the surrounding trees. With free time for lunch, wander around the Scottish Wool Centre or even see a sheep dog display. From here, it's on to Doune and its 13th century castle, featured in Game of Thrones and Outlander, where you can get a taste of how people lived over 700 years ago.
Finally, pass by the National Wallace Monument and historic Stirling Castle as you return to Edinburgh city centre.
