Your adventure begins with a 09:30 departure from Dublin. Meet your friendly guide and fellow travellers before heading south through the scenic Irish countryside towards the spectacular landscapes of County Wicklow.
Your first stop is Powerscourt Waterfall, where you'll have up to an hour to explore the surrounding scenery, admire the cascading water and capture stunning photos in the heart of the Wicklow Mountains. The waterfall cascades approximately 121 metres (397 feet) into a lush valley.
Continue to the historic valley of Glendalough, one of Ireland’s most beautiful and atmospheric destinations. Founded by Saint Kevin in the 6th century, this early Christian settlement is home to remarkable medieval ruins, including its famous round tower. You will have approximately 90 minutes to explore the monastic site, stroll around the peaceful lakes and discover the ancient stone churches. You can enjoy lunch at your leisure at one of the nearby cafés or food stalls. While lunch is not included, there are options nearby to purchase food and refreshments.
The experience continues with a traditional sheepdog demonstration, at a working sheep farm, offering a fascinating insight into rural Irish life. Watch skilled sheepdogs respond to voice and whistle commands as they expertly herd sheep. You'll also meet a local farmer who will introduce you to rural life and explain more about the different breeds of sheep in Ireland.
