See how the city’s famously colourful floats are made and learn about the history of New Orleans’ world-famous holiday. Mardi Gras is celebrated on the last day before Lent, when all the rich food needed to be eaten, hence the name Fat Tuesday!
And with our money-saving package, you’ll also be able to explore New Orleans itself and see all the famous sights from Bourbon Street to the Garden District. You’ll learn about the incredible history that has made New Orleans so different from other American cities. It is an incredible and unique city and you’re to see something special at every stop.

Mardi Gras World
- Open 7 days a week from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Closed on Mardi Gras Day, Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day
- Mardi Gras World will close early at 2:00 p.m. on Chrismas Eve and on the Saturday, Sunday and Monday before Mardi Gras
- Tours begin every half hour from 9:30 a.m. and last for approximately one hour
- The last tour begins one hour before closing
- The nearest stop is number 16, a 7-minute walk away from Mardi Gras World
