Description
Explore Phuket with City Sightseeing
Phuket is much more than beaches and island excursions. Beyond the resort areas, you'll find historic streets, colourful shrines, local neighbourhoods, shopping centres and lush corners of the island waiting to be explored.
Our Phuket hop-on hop-off bus tour gives you the freedom to discover these places at your own pace. Choose a 24 or 48-hour pass, hop off at the stops that interest you, spend as much time as you like exploring, then catch a later bus to continue your journey.
Some major attractions along the route are:
- Central Phuket Floresta: begin your sightseeing at Central Phuket Floresta, a convenient starting point with shops, restaurants and plenty of places to take a break. It's also home to Aquaria Phuket, making this stop particularly useful if you're travelling with children or want to combine sightseeing with an indoor attraction.
- Phuket Old Town: the route then takes you towards Phuket Old Town, where two stops give you time to explore the historic centre. Wander through streets lined with colourful Sino-European buildings, independent shops, cafés and local eateries. Phuket's Old Town reflects the island's multicultural history, with Chinese, Indian, European and other influences visible in its architecture and traditions.
- Saphan Hin: at Saphan Hin Park, step away from the busy streets and enjoy a more relaxed setting beside the sea. The public park is a popular local gathering place and offers an opportunity to walk, enjoy the waterfront atmosphere and see a less tourist-focused side of Phuket.
- Kiew Thien Keng Shrine (Saphan Hin Shrine): a colourful Chinese shrine by the sea, closely tied to Phuket's Vegetarian Festival. Admire the ornate decoration and get a glimpse of the island's Chinese heritage.
- Muay Thai Street (Soi Ta-iad): Phuket's best-known fitness street, lined with Muay Thai gyms and health-focused cafés — a lively stop if you want to soak up the local training culture or grab a nutritious bite.
- Chalong Temple (Wat Chai Thararam): one of Phuket's best-known Buddhist temples. Admire the ornate architecture, walk around the temple grounds and experience an important part of the island's religious and cultural heritage. The Tourism Authority of Thailand also identifies Wat Chalong as a significant centre of faith for Phuket's Buddhist community.
- Robinson Lifestyle Chalong: if you need time for shopping, food or a coffee break, hop off at Robinson Lifestyle Chalong. The stop gives you an easy opportunity to recharge before continuing around the route.
- Hanuman World: for something more adventurous, hop off at Hanuman World Phuket. Set among Phuket's rainforest, the attraction offers zipline and treetop experiences, including elevated walks and other aerial adventures.
- King Power Phuket: enjoy world-class shopping with a wide selection of international brands, Thai products, souvenirs, and dining options at the main entrance stop.
- Aquaria Phuket: the final stop brings you back to Aquaria Phuket / Central Phuket Floresta, the same location as Stop 1. Aquaria Phuket is located within Central Phuket Floresta and offers an underwater journey featuring around 6,000 marine and non-marine creatures.
With the flexibility to combine historic streets, cultural landmarks, shopping, food and family-friendly attractions, the Phuket hop-on hop-off bus tour makes it easy to explore the city and surrounding areas according to your own interests.
