Haugesund Hop-On Hop-Off Sightseeing Bus Tours
Experience Haugesund
Welcome to Haugesund!
Haugesund, a lovely old fishing port on the Norwegian coast, is the birthplace of Viking Norway. It was in Avaldsnes, a nearby village that’s on our route, that King Harald Fairhair had his base, from which he unified Norway for the first time.
Before or when you arrive in town, book your sightseeing tour and follow our hop-on hop-off route all around Haugesund. From Haraldshaugen (Harald's Mound) to the Nordvegen History Centre and from Krosshaugen to Haugesund Town Hall, our open-top bus tour will take you by the city's most popular sights.
You’ll be able to learn all about Haugeseud’s fascinating history and culture. If you’re in town, then there’s no excuse not to hop on and explore!

3 Must-See Hop-Off Attractions
If you’re in Haugesund on a cruise, it’s good to know where to go. Our top three hop-off destinations are places that you just have to visit.
First, hop off at the Haugesund Town Hall and walk down to the Sjøhusene, the old fisherman's shacks that have stood by the harbour for hundreds of years. These colourful buildings are undoubtedly the finest surviving example of traditional Norwegian coastal architecture.
In the mood for something more historic, hop off at Haraldshaugen (Harald's Mound). You'll feel like you've stepped back in time at this national monument, and it's a great place to head to learn about the Viking king Harald Fairhair.
Our last must-hop-off destination is the Dokken Museum. This open-air museum will take you through the history of Haugesund and it's a great way to experience what life used to be like in this coastal city.
