Description
Hop on and start your adventure at the thrilling amusement park and magical gardens of Tivoli! Discover your inner child with a sticky-sweet candy floss and a rip-roaring ride on the demon rollercoaster. The kids might enjoy it too! Legend has it that this wonderland inspired both Walt Disney and Hans Christian Andersen in their subsequent works.
For a change of pace, hop on and check out the foodie markets, pop-up bars and chic restaurants of the uber-trendy Meatpacking District. Originally the site of Copenhagen’s meat industry, this neighbourhood has been completely regenerated to become the coolest area in town. While you’re here, swing by Khora, the world’s first virtual reality store. Pop on a pair of 3D specs and virtually dive to the bottom of the deepest ocean or join a team of astronauts on a virtual space mission.
Hop on our comfortable open-top bus and venture further afield to the Frederiksberg district. In this green, suburban neighbourhood, you can wander tree-lined avenues and have a picnic in one of the many beautiful parks. Yet another delight for the kids is a visit to Copenhagen Zoo, one of the oldest in Europe and home to over 400 species of animal including pandas, chimps and polar bears.
Let us give you a lift you up the hill to admire astonishing views from the impressive Frederiksberg palace with its photogenic moat and breathtaking gardens. In this diverse district, you will also find shopping opportunities galore! Hop off at the Frederiksberg shopping centre, the perfect plan for a rainy day. In this lovely part of the city, you can also hop off and take a break in the lush, verdant botanical gardens and butterfly house, part of the University of Copenhagen.
Kids and adults alike can discover the secrets of the Universe at the Tycho Brahe Planetarium. Discover the answer to the question “where do we come from?”, view the largest piece of moon rock on display in Europe and, of course, watch a fascinating film in the spectacular, star-filled dome.
With so many sights spread out around this green, alternative district of the city, you’ll be glad you can hop on and hop off our comfortable and quick red buses as you please!
