    Description

Escape Belfast for the day and discover the striking beauty of the North Antrim coastline and the Giant's Causeway, a geographical phenomenon dubbed the 8th wonder of the world.

Your adventure starts in Belfast city centre and takes you out of the city and into the delightful villages and countryside of Belfast. The first stop along the way is Carrickfergus Castle. This beautifully preserved Norman castle is one of the best examples of medieval architecture in Northern Ireland.

Next up: a photo stop at the rickety Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, swaying 30 metres above the crashing waves below. Don’t look down!

The stop you’ve been waiting for follows - the jaw-dropping natural phenomenon, the Giant’s causeway. An expert guide will lead you through this UNESCO World Heritage Site, following in the footsteps of the legendary giants Finn McCool and Benandonner, recounting the history of a landscape formed 50-60 million years ago by volcanic activity. You’ll have plenty of time to explore, take pictures and soak it all in.

Next, you’ll stop for lunch at the famous Dark Hedges, a striking avenue of beech trees in Northern Ireland, known for its haunting beauty. Planted in the 18th century, the intertwining branches form a natural tunnel, often enveloped in mist. This atmospheric location gained fame as a filming site for Game of Thrones, attracting many visitors.

The tour then continues along the world-famous Causeway Coastal Route for a final stop at the haunting ruins of medieval Dunluce Castle, which has inspired many local fantasy writers and was made famous as the House of Greyjoy in Game of Thrones.

Discover the Giant's Causeway, one of the most renowned sites on the stunning Antrim Coast, as well as other incredible locations along the Causeway Coastal Route, voted one of the world's top five most spectacular drives! Book online today!
