Description
Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo is one of our very favourite places in the world to see the miracles of marine life. Housed inside the enormous Dubai Mall, it showcases myriad species of fish and water-dwelling animals. The Aquarium is built around a great glass tunnel, where you can look up and around at the water that is teeming with rays and sharks of various shapes and sizes. The aquarium is one giant tank, which holds 10 million litres of water and is home to more than 30 thousand marine animals!
The second floor of the building is where you’ll find the Underwater Zoo, where you can experience different aquatic environmments, such as rain forests and rocky shores. There are also touch ponds, which the kids will especially love. Also featured are some the UAE’s nocturnal creatures. While the star of the show is undoubtedly King Croc, who weighs an incredible 750 kg. That’s more than 11 Lionel Messis!
All in all, Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo is the perfect place to spend a few hours or more getting to know more about the magic of the oceans. Whether you’re travelling with kids or without, we’re sure that you’ll love its underwater delights.
