Social Projects
These are the projects led by City Sightseeing Cares to contribute to different social actions that are in line with our mission, vision and values.
World Breast Cancer Day
At City Sightseeing Spain, we want to raise awareness of the importance of the early detection of breast cancer. Every year, throughout the week of 19th October (World Breast Cancer Day), our team wears pink ribbons, and our buses are decorated with large pink ribbons. As well as this, information from the Spanish Association Against Cancer is distributed at our main stops throughout the week.
World Refugee Day with UNHCR
On World Refugee Day, we joined the Spanish UNHCR Committee to support those forced to flee their homes. On the 20th June 2023, we donated €1 for every passenger that joined our tours in Seville, Cadiz, Malaga, Benalmadena, Cordoba, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Palma, Santander and Toledo. Also, we helped raise awareness and support UNHCR’s crucial work by handing out information leaflets to our passengers. The proceeds raised allowed us to distribute 50 basic food parcels for 50 refugee families (about 200 people in total) and to attend to 130 refugees in the health services of a refugee camp for a year. Together, we can be agents of change. #WithRefugees
Red Cross Sorteo del Oro
Seville, Cordoba and Cadiz join the Red Cross to promote the Sorteo del Oro in their respective cities. The Red Cross’s annual draw aims to raise funds to go towards their projects to help those most in need.
Marathon Challenge Dale CandELA
At the well-known Zurich Maratón de Sevilla, we encourage all participants to wear t-shirts designed with the association DalecandELA to give visibility to ALS. For each participant wearing the t-shirt, City Sightseeing has committed to donate 10 euros to DalecandELA to help fight this disease.
Fighting cancer with AECC
On the 18th and 19th February, City Sightseeing Spain's operators worked alongside the Spanish Association Against Cancer to inform and raise awareness about cancer among our passengers and the cities’ residents. We also donated 1 euro for each passenger who boarded the City Sightseeing bus in any of our Spanish destinations. In this way, our customers in Seville, Malaga, Cadiz, Santander, Cordoba, Benalmadena, Toledo, Palma and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria contributed to the cause.
PedALS for life
Once again, we joined forces with DalecandELA to raise awareness of ALS. During the FITUR 2023 fair, we carried out an awareness-raising event as well as promoting a #pedALSforlife challenge, where anyone who passed by our stand could join the challenge by pedalling.
