Being around some many skyscrapers may be a little overwhelming for some. So that is why we have the perfect secret stop to escape this concrete jungle for a little while. Hop off at Central Park (Stop #19), which is located across the street of The Plaza Hotel, one of the most beautiful buildings in New York. Before making your way to the enchanting oasis that is Central Park, make sure to have a look inside this famous hotel, as it will leave you in awe. As you walk to the park, make a pit stop at the Apple Store, a cube that leads to an underground store, which is a haven for any techy.
Welcome to Central Park! Enjoy a walk through the sprawling green areas, read a book, take a nap- you will almost forget that you are in one of the world’s most bustling cities. Make sure you get to the Bethesda Fountain. You will probably recognise it from countless Hollywood blockbusters.
Want to feel like a child again? If you do, you cannot miss two different statues located in the park- Alice in Wonderland and Balto.
If you get thirsty after strolling through the park, stop at one of the many terraces and enjoy a refreshing drink. After cooling off head to the Metropolitan Museum of Art (MET), where you will be able to admire amazing pieces of art and marvel at Central Park from its magnificent terrace.
If you are still in the mood for museums after visiting the MET, you can make your way to the Guggenheim Museum, which is just a seven-minute walk from the MET, or the American Museum of Natural History, which you might recognise from the movie “Night at the Museum”.
